Sample sale boasts home décor bargains
If great design and better bargains are your thing, you ought to visit the Houston Design Center’s annual Designer Sample Sale this weekend.
Designers and showrooms will clean out their floor displays and samples, putting furniture, antiques, art, rugs and other home décor items out with deep discounts.
Participating designers and stores are: Bunch & Shoemaker, Charlotte Nail Antiques, Design House, Jann Wisdom Designs/ Wisdom Frost Interiors, Lighting Treasures, Pride of Persia Rug Company, Postmodern Traditions, Scene One Interiors and the Houston Showroom.
Also, Houston interior designers Marie Flanigan and Pamela O’Brien and professional organizer and author Lisa Giesler will give free lectures during the event. Lectures are sponsored by the Kitchen & Bath Concept Showroom, register in advance at designersamplesale2017. eventbrite.com.
Flanigan, of Marie Flanigan Interiors, will talk about “The Secret
to Mastering Luxury in Any Home,” at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Flanigan recently represented Team Jonathan on the most recent season of HGTV’s “Brother vs. Brother.” At 10:30 a.m. Saturday, O’Brien, of Pamela Hope Designs, will discuss “Remodeling Do’s and Don’ts — Tips from a Designer for Best Results.” And at 11:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday, Giesler will speak on “Fixing the Clutter in Your Home.”
Food trucks 006 Pizza, Julia Cooks Organic, Craft Burger, Foreign Policy and Cousins Maine Lobster will be on hand 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
