WHAT TO WATCH

The top events to attend or watch on TV during the coming week.

When: Friday-Sunday TV: AT&T SportsNet Southwest After not giving the Angels much thought for most of the season, it appears now they could be an Astros playoff opponent. Games are scheduled for Friday at 9:07 p.m., Saturday at 8:07 p.m. and Sunday at 2:37 p.m.

When: 7 p.m. Saturday TV: ABC Both teams are 1-1, with the Texans winning their game against New England and the Saints against the Los Angeles Chargers. Advantage, Texans. But Drew Brees, Mark Ingram and Adrian Peterson haven’t played in either game for the Saints. Expect to see them Saturday. When: 8 p.m. Sunday TV: Showtime pay-per-view It’s more of a spectacle than a sporting event, a boxing star vs. a UFC star in a boxing match. It shouldn’t be much of a contest. Yet, millions will shell out the $99.95 — with HD — to buy on pay per view.

When: 2 p.m. Sunday TV: ABC

The 2016 tournament in Williamspo­rt, Pa., ended well for the team based in Endwell, N.Y., which gave the United States its first title since 2011. The best of the U.S. meets the best from the rest of the world in this year’s title game.

When: Friday-Sunday TV: Golf Channel (Friday), CBS (Saturday-Sunday) Virtually all of the top PGA players, including three of the four majors winners this year (Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas) and defending champion Patrick Reed from Spring have entered the tournament in Old Westbury, N.Y. When: 10 a.m. Sunday TV: NBCSN It doesn’t get much better than this for English Premiere League fans, two of the most storied teams meeting at Liverpool’s Old Anfield. Liverpool has one win and a draw to Arsenal’s one win and one loss. When/where: 8 p.m. Saturday, BBVA Compass Stadium TV: KFTH After six consecutiv­e games without a loss, a 2-1 defeat at Vancouver dropped the Dynamo out of first place in the MLS West. After tying at Dallas on Wednesday, the Dynamo now return home to face Kansas City in a key matchup . When/where: 6:30 p.m. Sunday, BBVA Compass Stadium TV: None The Dash looked like a contender with a sixgame streak without a loss. Now they have lost three of four and dropped into eighth place as first-place North Carolina visits. 10 When: 5 p.m. Monday TV: ESPN2 The two-week tournament that is tennis’ final major of the year starts earlier in the day from Flushing Meadow, N.Y., but the best matches and highlights are reserved for later. Day-long coverage is on ESPN, ESPN2 and online at ESPN3 until 10 p.m.
