Rebecca “Becky” Unruh passed away January 13, 2018 in Conroe, Texas, aged 75. She was born Rebecca Lou Miller in Huntsville, Texas and grew up with her twin sister, Berta, in Trinity, Texas. She was a 1961 graduate of Trinity High School, an alumna of Southwest Texas School of Business in Houston, and member of Dorcas Wills Memorial Baptist Church in Trinity. She worked for Texas Eastern, and for several prominent Houston law firms under the late Richard Caldwell before retiring from Andrews Kurth LLP in 2005. She enjoyed crafts such as crocheting and knitting, and was an accomplish­ed photograph­er and successful “sweeper”, winning many prizes over the years. She liked bowling and softball with her lefty advantage. She was also a history buff, especially regarding family genealogy, sets of local twins, the history of east Texas, and military history. Becky is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kay Unruh; father, William Floyd Miller; mother, Lola Marie Weisinger Miller; and sister, Addie Marie Miller Lindner. She is survived by her sisters; Roberta Eddings of Conroe, and Winkie (Mrs. Arch) Maples of Austonio; eight nieces, two nephews, three great-nieces and a great-nephew, and many cherished long-time friends from Houston, Spring, and Trinity.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19th at Dorcas Wills Memorial Baptist Church in Trinity, Texas with interment to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Trinity. The family will receive visitors at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in remembranc­e to Dorcas Wills’ building fund or to any United States Armed Services veterans associatio­n.
