Marion Allen Winter Jr, also know as “Snookie”, by his family, passed away peacefully January 16, 2018, at his ranch In Brenham, Texas.

Allen was born on April 10, 1936 in Texarkana, Arkansas. He came from a large family with 3 brothers and a sister. Mary Katherine, Jerry, Michael, and Bill.

Allen served his country in the Marines and then graduated from the University of Arkansas where met and married his wife Ramah Lee Johns on August 24, 1956.

They had four children Craig, Scott, Andy, and Tim.

Allen enjoyed an accomplish­ed real estate developmen­t career until his retirement in 1986.

He loved golfing, fishing, and hunting with his children and grand children. He was blessed with two beautiful great granddaugh­ters. Allen had many wonderful friends that he met in his retirement years.

He especially enjoyed holiday festivitie­s with his family at their ranch in Brenham.

Allen’s greatest treasure was his wife and partner , Ramah Lee, of 61 years. He rarely left her side.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry, sister Mary Katherine and son Tim.

Allen is survived by his beautiful bride, Ramah Lee, sons Craig, Scott and Andrew, brothers Michael and Billy Mac.

Services will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham Texas on Friday, January 19 at 11:00am and graveside service will be held at 2:00pm in Independen­ce, Texas following the service.
