WILLIAM “BILL” HILLORY BRIDGES JR.

William “Bill” Hillory Bridges Jr. was born on the 11th of May 1938, to William Hillory Bridges Sr., MD and Leonora Plowden Bridges at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas. Bill passed away peacefully on Monday, the 15th of January 2017, with his spouse at his side in Houston.

Bill was raised in Baytown, Texas, where he graduated from Robert E Lee high school June 1956, then attended the University of Texas in Austin. He served 4 years in the U.S. Army, and was honorably discharged. After which he attended the University of Houston, and then worked with computers for over 20-25 years.

Known for his wit, love of entertaini­ng, and his elan, Bill will be dearly missed by his family and many close friends.

He is survived by his spouse, Rodrigo Zuniga of Houston; brother, Charles Plowden Bridges, MD of San Diego, California; and several cousins in Texas and Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparen­ts, uncles and aunts.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from two o’clock until four o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 21st of January, at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 22nd of January, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons.

The interment is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
