RUTH CAROLE BOYD

1925-2018

Ruth C. Boyd, 92, of Houston, Tx, passed away January 18, 2018.

She was born in Alto, Texas, on August 27, 1925.

Ruth attended Red Lawn school and moved to Houston with her family in the 40’s.

She retired from Gulf Oil Co. after a successful career as an executive secretary in the Geology department.

Ruth had a love of knowledge and enjoyed her life and her many friends.

Her relationship with her Lord was strong and enduring. She attended First Church of God, and the First Methodist church of Houston.

She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Rye, her parents, Roy Benjamin Boyd and Maude Crouch Boyd, and four brothers, Ernest [Eula], Billy, Luther, and Grant [Charlcye].

Ruth is survived by nieces and nephews, Bob Boyd [Marihelen], Martha Boyd, Susan Boyd Pavliska [John], Janice Boyd Clifton [Beth], Roy G. Boyd [Debbie], Laura Lynn Boyd and their families. Along with cousin J. Frank Brunt and many other family members

Services will be Monday, January 22nd at 10 a.m. at Pat H. Foley and Co., Chapel of the Garden, located at 1200 W. 34th. Visitation is Sunday at 5 PM. Burial and graveside service to follow in Alto, Tx at the Old Palestine Cemetery later that day.
