CIGAR LOUNGE LIGHTS UP IN THE WOODLANDS
Cigar aficionados rejoice: There’s a swank new haven for you to puff your primo stogies and sip fine spirits in a cushy lounge environment.
Blend Bar with Davidoff Cigars, an upscale cigar and bourbon bar, has opened at 1701 Lake Robbins Dr. in the Woodlands. Designed with custom furniture and exotic woods and fabrics, the lounge offers a posh space to enjoy selections from the humidor — Davidoff of Geneva (naturally), as well as Padron, Nat Sherman and Diamond Crown cigars. In addition, Blend locations feature Certified Cigar Sommelier Tobacconist, a certification by the Tobacconist University of Princeton, N.J. Jara Murphy is the Certified Cigar Sommelier Tobacconist for the Woodlands store.
Blend, which has locations in Indianapolis, Nashville and Pittsburgh, is intent on catering to the connoisseur class. In addition to fine cigars, the spirits offerings are formidable and include 100 rare bourbons (including Pappy Van Winkle) as well as top shelf scotch, whiskey and vodka. There’s also a food menu that includes sandwiches and shared plates such as cheese boards and Italian and Mediterranean platters.
Though a cigar bar, Blend bills itself as a smoke-free environment thanks to a ventilation system that completely recycles air within the lounge every six to eight minutes.
The Woodlands store will be open from 11 a.m.-midnight Monday-Saturday and 3-10 p.m. Sunday. The kitchen hours will be 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 5-10 p.m. Sunday (cold fare only).
