KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Jaime Nared scored 23 points, and Mercedes Russell had a 18 points and 13 rebounds Thursday as No. 12 Tennessee dominated the fourth quarter to pull away for an 82-67 victory over No. 14 Texas A&M.
Chennedy Carter scored 25 points for the Aggies (17-7, 6-3 Southeastern Conference).

ASHLAND SETS WINS MARK
Ashland University set the NCAA Division II record for consecutive victories with its 58th straight win, beating Wayne State 101-84 in Ashland, Ohio. The Eagles topped the previous mark set by the Winona State men’s team that won 57 straight games in 2006 and 2007.
FOSTER EARNS 900TH WIN
Chattanooga’s Jim Foster earned his 900th career victory to move into a tie for seventh place on the NCAA’s all-time list as the Mocs breezed to a 58-41 victory over Western Carolina in Cullowhee, N.C. Foster, 69, improved his career record to 900-342 in 40 seasons at St. Joseph’s, Vanderbilt, Ohio State and Chattanooga.
