Ex-employee alleges sexual harassment in suit against Texans

- From staff reports

A former Texans employee alleged that she was sexually harassed by the team’s former director of football operations and is seeking $1 million in damages in a lawsuit filed Friday against the team.

Kristen Grimes, a former suite sales account executive with the team, alleges “improper treatment,” and “assault” from Jason Lowrey and “negligence” from the organization, her attorney Scott Hunziker said.

The Texans said the “matter was properly investigated and addressed at the time the complaint was made (November of 2016)” and “will vigorously defend ourselves against this litigation.”

Grimes worked for the Texans from 2013 to 2017. Lowrey is no longer employed by the Texans after his department was reduced in size after the season.
