Raptors’ win in OT secures playoff spot

DETROIT — DeMar DeRozan scored 42 points, then fed Fred VanVleet for the tie-breaking jumper with 1.1 seconds remaining in overtime to lift Toronto to a 121-119 victory over Detroit on Wednesday night.

The Eastern Conference-leading Raptors became the first team to clinch a playoff berth this season. They have won six straight and 13-of-14.
