A Tomball woman accused of hindering the sale of her neighbor’s home by gluing his door locks, spray-painting his windows and tearing down openhouse signs was arrested Wednesday afternoon.

Dallas Rose Lott, 64, has been charged with criminal mischief, accused of vandalizing a Tomball home that Rodrigo Camus purchased in October. A representative with the Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 4 confirmed Lott was arrested in the 16400 block of North Eldridge Parkway.

Camus said that he purchased the home with the intention of flipping it and claims he’s had trouble selling the home due to Lott’s alleged actions.

“The Realtor would call me and say we had a showing, but the neighbor scares off everyone who comes to see the home,” Camus said. “She put crazy glue inside of the doorknob so I had to replace the doorknobs. It was noted, but the police didn’t do anything about it. She then did it again and then spray painted my windows.”

Camus provided surveillance video to Chron.com that showed Lott tearing down signs and taping up a surveillance camera lens. He also provided photos of signs he claims Lott left on his home and other damages he said she caused.

Camus said the home has been on the market since December, which is when he says the vandalizing began. He also accuses her of attacking his contractors and leaving intimidating notes on his door. He said she is disputing his ownership of the home.

Lott made a court appearance overnight, and her bond was set at $1,100. She was released on bond Thursday, under the condition that she makes no contact with Camus or with his home, according to a Harris County Probable Cause Court judge who set the amount.

Camus told police of five separate occasions where he believed Lott vandalized his home, a prosecutor said at the overnight bail hearing.

Lott caused almost $3,500 in damage, the prosecutor said. She was charged with one felony offense and one misdemeanor offense of criminal mischief.
