Toronto won this season’s previous meeting at Toyota Center in mid-November. The Rockets also play at Dallas at 6 p.m. Sunday. Houston vs. Central Florida 2 When: 8:30 p.m. today. TV: ESPNU. The third-seeded University of Houston opens American Athletic Conference tournament play in Orlando against No. 6 Central Florida, which beat No. 11 East Carolina 66-52 on Thursday. The championsh­ip game will air at 2:30 p.m. Sunday on CBS. Southland tournament 3 When: 8 p.m. Saturday. TV: ESPN2. The league holds its men’s and women’s tournament­s at the Merrell Center in Katy. Southeast Louisiana is the No. 1 seed on the men’s sidem while Lamar is No. 1 for the women, whose title game will be at noon Sunday on CBS Sports Network. Dynamo vs. Whitecaps 4 When: 5 p.m. Saturday. TV: KUBE. After a 4-0 whitewash of Atlanta United FC in their season opener, the Dynamo welcome Vancouver. These teams began the week in a virtual tie for sixth place in the Western Conference. Depending on how things shake out, this could be a preview of a first-round series. Liverpool at Man United 7 When: 6:25 a.m. Saturday. TV: NBCSN. These Premier League rivals began the week separated by one point in the standings, with Manchester United holding the edge. The Stars, battling for a wild-card berth in the NHL’s West, begin a six-game road trip against the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions from Pittsburgh.
