The Rice women’s run through the C-USA tournament is thwarted by a loss to top-seeded UAB.

FRISCO — The Rice women rallied in the fourth quarter but fell short, losing to top-seeded UAB 67-55 in the Conference USA tournament semifinals Friday at the Ford Center at The Star.

Rice’s Erica Ogwumike had 15 points and 10 rebounds for her team-leading 13th double-double of the season.
