Willie’s Outlaw Music Festival is coming to The Woodlands this summer. Giddyup.

The itinerary for this year’s edition of the Outlaw Music Festival has been announced, with Willie Nelson, Sturgill Simpson, Ryan Bingham and Edie Brickell & New Bohemians as headliners.

The traveling roadshow comes to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands on Sunday, July 1. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

This date and a June 30 date in Dallas are the tour’s only two Texas stops.

The Outlaw lineup in The Woodlands also includes The Head And The Heart, The Wild Feathers, Lukas Nelson + Promise Of The Real and Particle Kid.

More acts could be added to The Woodlands bill, and that could get interesting as other stops on the Outlaw Music tour are getting Elvis Costello, Alison Krauss, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Old Crow Medicine Show.

Another interesting things is that the festival’s lineup is nearly a spitting image of Willie Nelson’s annual “4th of July Picnic,” announced last week, set to touch down at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin over the holiday weekend.

The Outlaw Music festival, established in 2016 as a one-night event, has been a great way for Nelson and family to showcase younger, up-and-coming acts alongside legacy artists like Nelson’s good buddy Bob Dylan.
