When/where: 7:10 p.m. today, 3:05 p.m. Saturday, 7:08 p.m Sunday; Minute Maid Park.

TV/radio: Today on ATTSW, ATTSW and FS1 on Saturday, ESPN on Sunday; 790 AM and 850 AM (Spanish).

Astros update: When the Angels won Wednesday night to take the lead in the AL West, it marked that first time in almost a year that the Astros weren’t atop the division. It was on April 14 last year that they took sole possession of the West lead for good, eventually winning it by 21 games. … Cole is the first pitcher in Astros history to post at least 11 strikeouts in his first two starts with the team and is the first Astro since Wade Miller in 2001 to strike out at least 11 in consecutive starts.

Rangers update: After playing 14 consecutive days to start the season, Texas on Thursday became the last team in the majors to get a day off. … Utility man Jurickson Profar, who started the last two games at second base for the injured Rougned Odor, will shift to shortstop to fill in for Elvis Andrus, whose right elbow was broken when he was hit by a pitch Wednesday night. Class AAA infielder Hanser Alberto could be recalled to play second base, or Isiah Kiner-Falefa could get the chance the same week of his big league debut. Drew Robinson has played second, but right now he’s the primary center fielder with Delino DeShields out maybe another month.
