PIDD LEE CORTEMEGLIA

1947-2018

Pidd Lee Cortemeglia, 71, died peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2018 in Mazatlan, Mexico. She was born on February 20, 1947 in Houston, Texas to Thomas Cortemeglia, Sr. and Dorothy Marguerite Miller Cortemeglia and was one of three children. Pidd was the youngest daughter and longtime loving caregiver of her mother.

The family invites Pidd’s friends to her Celebration of Life to be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at The Panorama Village Clubhouse, 73 Greenbriar Drive, Conroe, Texas 77304. Pidd Lee was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Thomas Cortemeglia, Jr. and wife Janiece Cortemeglia of Nashville, TN, and her sister Dorothy Cortemeglia Kuhn and husband, Joel Kuhn of Panorama Village, TX. and nephew Craig Cortemeglia, and two nieces Jennifer Kuhn, and Cheryl Cortemeglia.

Pidd attended Cullen Jr. High School and Jesse H. Jones High School in Southeast Houston. She graduated from Sam Houston State Teacher’s College, Huntsville, TX. She was a member of Zeta Theta Chapter of Delta Zeta. After graduation she enjoyed a 30-year career as a Delta Airlines flight attendant. Pidd was actively involved many years with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with the Swine Auction. She enjoyed Mardi Gras activities with the Krewe of Aquarius in Galveston. Pidd loved living in the Panorama Village golf community and was a member and leader of the PWGA, Panorama woman’s golf association. The last several years Pidd Lee enjoyed vacations in Mazatlan, Mexico. Donations may be made to PWGA in her honor for the “Pidd Cortemeglia Golf Scholarship Fund”.
