Houston will be abuzz Saturday with events marking Cinco de Mayo at some of the city’s most popular Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurant­s. Even bars not primarily known for their margaritas are getting in on the fun. Here’s what’s happening:

• Ana Beaven goes all out for Cinco de Mayo festivitie­s at Cuchara, 214 Fairview, in Montrose. All Saturday, the restaurant will offer happy-hour specials, including select $5 appetizers and cocktails. The day’s menu offerings will be inspired by the flavors of Puebla. Like last year, Cuchara will offer a Mexican wrestling show, set up in the adjacent parking lot. For $20 per person (older than 21 only), there is a three-hour show with six matches throughout the evening, beginning at 7 p.m. Lucha libre personalit­ies from Mexico (men, women and “micro wrestlers”) will perform. Food, drinks, music and mini-me wrestlers. Is there a better way to spend Cinco de Mayo?

• What does a $100 margarita taste like? Find out for yourself at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine bar, which is marking Cinco de Mayo with the $100 Prime Margarita made from Tequila Herradura Selección Suprema and Grand Marnier Centenaire and served in a take-home custom Baccarat glass. Available Friday through Sunday at Fleming’s, 2405 W. Alabama and 788 W. Sam Houston Parkway North in Houston and 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive in The Woodlands.

• Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen restaurant­s (6401 Woodway and 1140 Eldridge Parkway) are offering a special Cinco de Mayo enchilada topped with mole sauce inspired by the city of Puebla. On Saturday, margarita specials will be featured all day, including Sylvia’s House Margarita for $6.50.

• Arnaldo Richards’ Picos restaurant, 3601 Kirby, will mark Cinco de Mayo with four days of events — which started on Thursday — with a Herradura tequila dinner. Friday will be a full day of featured margarita specials. Saturday, the party begins at 9 a.m. and goes until 2 a.m. with music, drink specials and a street food stand. Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. is Recovery Brunch, featuring $7 cocktails. For more informatio­n see picos.net.

• Cinco in the City is a daylong family cultural experience, with Mexican-food vendors, craft vendors, decoration­s, musical acts and lucha libre stars. The event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at Silver Street Studios, 2000 Edwards. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. The party continues from 7 p.m. to midnight with Margaritas and Mezcal Experience offering margaritas, palomas, mezcal, a compliment­ary taco bar and music. $45 general admission and $100 VIP admission. • Molina’s Cantina’s two Houston locations will mark Cinco de Mayo with food and drink specials all day, giveaways and live music from 6 to 10 p.m. Drink specials include $6 Molina’s Margaritas (frozen or on the rocks); $7 La Luna Azur cocktail (organic tequila, blue curacao, agave nectar and soda); special prices on beer; and free chips and queso at the bar.

• Downtown’s big party will be at El Big Bad, the margarita bar and Mexican restaurant at 419 Travis that likes to blow it out on Cinco de Mayo. Although it’s making a weekend of the celebratio­n, Saturday will be the day to take in the music and $5 margarita specials. Shot girls will be on hand offering tequila samples.

• All Chuy’s restaurant­s will participat­e in a three-day bash for Cinco de Mayo. On Friday, the restaurant­s will offer happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. with drink specials and nacho bar; from 4 p.m. to close, $1 off Corona and Corona Light beers and $1 floaters on margaritas. On Saturday, all-day drink specials on domestic beer, Texas martinis and margaritas. Sunday offers $5 Tito’s Bloody Marys all day.

• On Saturday, all margaritas at Raven Tower, 310 North St., will be $6, including frozen margarita, the Sandia Margarita (watermelon and Cointreau and ginger syrup), Jamaican Flower (orange liqueur and hibiscus syrup) and Honeysuckl­e Margarita (made with reposado tequila and honeysuckl­e liqueur).

• Downtown’s new The Cottonmout­h Club, 108 Main, will offer a $6 cocktail called Maybe Memphis, Maybe Mexico (a spicy paloma made with tequila, fresh

lime and grapefruit soda) as well as a Tequila Julep, in honor of the Kentucky Derby, from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.

• Hugo’s, 1600 Westheimer, will offer drinks specials all day on Saturday as well as Cinco de Mayo Street Foods of Mexico Brunch Buffet from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ($28 for adults, $12 for children), followed by Suerte Tequila Happy Hour from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. featuring Suerte Tequila drink specials. Dinner service is from 3 to 11 p.m. and live mariachi music from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

• Xochi in the Marriott Marquis Houston, 1777 Walker, is offering a Cinco de Mayo Brunch on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with cocktail specials priced at $7.50. From 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. there will be a happy hour with special drinks presented by Espolon Tequila and Grand Marnier. Live music from 5 to 9 p.m.

• Cinco de Mayo will be celebrated all day Saturday at Caracol,

2200 Post Oak Blvd., with brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with special dishes. From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. the restaurant is marking Krug de Mayo champagne deals (half bottle of Krug Grand Cuvee and half dozen oysters for $95; full bottle of Krug Grand Cuvee and a dozen oysters for $190). From 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. there will be happy-hour drink specials at the bar from Espolon tequila, Campari and Grand Marnier. Dinner with drinks specials and giveaways from 3 to 11 p.m. and mariachi music from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• Tango & Malbec, 2800 Sage, in the Galleria area, is an Argentinea­n restaurant that is getting in on the Cinco de Mayo fun by offering their Malberita, a cocktail made with tequila, Malbec wine, Cointreau and lime juice. Normally $12, it will be $5 on Saturday.
