Astros update: After tying a club record with their 11th consecutiv­e road victory Thursday, the Astros carry a three-game losing streak into this series, having lost their last three games at Tampa Bay. But at 30-14 (.682), they still have the best road record in the majors. … In their last 16 series, they are 11-2-3. … The only three Astros duos to have more RBIs in a month than the 60 Alex Bregman and Evan Gattis totaled in June were Jeff Bagwell and Vinny Castilla (64 in July 2001), Moises Alou and Richard Hidalgo (63 in September 2000) and Bagwell and Derek Bell (62 In July 1995). Rangers update: OF Shin-Soo Choo has reached base in 42 consecutiv­e games, the longest streak in the majors this year and the thirdlonge­st single-season streak in Rangers history behind Julio Franco (46 in 1993) and Otis Nixon (44 in 1995). The last major leaguer with a longer streak was the Braves’ Freddie Freeman (46 in 2016). … With 3,107 hits, Adrian Beltre is three shy of tying Dave Winfield for 20th on the all-time list. … Bibens-Dirkx threw five scoreless innings in his last outing against the Padres on Thursday but didn’t get a decision.
