MARGARET “PEGGY” B. PRYOR

Margaret “Peggy” B. Pryor died on August 5, 2018, in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born on April 25, 1927, in Randolph, South Dakota, to Mary and Michael Bauer.

Peggy met her husband, Bob, in Chicago where she moved after graduating from high school in Aberdeen, South Dakota. They were married nearly 65 years and were honored as the longest married couple at Sts. Simon & Jude Parish in The Woodlands in 2012.

She was a charter member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church active in the Women’s Club. After their daughter, Mary Kay graduated from Mt. Carmel High School, she and Bob moved to the Sharpstown area to be near Bob’s place of business, Braeburn TV and they joined St. Francis de Sales Church. In 2011 they moved to The Woodlands to be near Mary Kay and her family, becoming a member of Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church.

Peggy was employed by Finger Furniture as a secretary to Sammy Finger for over 40 years. She was active in the following organizati­ons including the office of the presidency of San Jacinto Sultanas, Electronic Dealers Associatio­n Auxiliary, and the 2nd Armored Division Associatio­n Auxiliary.

She is predecease­d by her parents; husband, Bob; sisters, Carol Artz and husband Mel, Clara Potter and husband Don, Cathey Kelly and husband Jim; brother, Eddie Bauer; and brother-inlaw, Bob Kerby.

She is survived by daughter, Mary Kay Ellis, and husband, Steve; two granddaugh­ters, Stephanie Moore and husband Stacey, Allison Miller and husband Dale; four great grandchild­ren, Austin and Preston Moore and Danielle and Nicole Miller; sisters, Rose Mary Gill and husband Bob, Dee Kerby, Barbara Parker and husband Terry; and brother Kenny Bauer.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 12, 2018, starting at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 13, at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church with a reception following in Domec Hall. The Rite of Committal will take place at Houston National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
