Ann Lois Mathews, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018. Born April 13, 1933 in Bayonne, NJ to James and Mary Lambert. She was a Houston resident for 45 years. She was a devout Catholic and devoted wife, mother, grandmothe­r, sister, daughter and friend. She graduated from Holy Name School of Nursing. She spent 45 years working as an RN, in Houston at Sharpstown Hospital and Texas Woman’s. Preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Christophe­r A. Mathews. Survived by six children, Nancy Mathews, Chris Mathews and wife Lori, Tom Mathews and wife Anka, Patty Koliba and husband Steve, Karen Echols and husband Ken, and Mark Mathews. Ten grandchild­ren, Meagan Bignall and husband Drew, Sarah Ward and husband Wesley, Anthony Mathews and fiancée Andrea, Andrew and Marissa Mathews, Connor Lyons, Matthew and Jonathan Koliba, Shelby and Haley Echols. Brother Roger Lambert and sister Helen Harz, both of New Jersey.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St., Bellaire, TX 77401. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 8200 Roos Rd., Houston, TX 77036.
