- Suzan Deison / Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce

Ms. Suzan Deison founded the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce in 2008. Suzan’s influence has opened doors and encouraged countless women to develop and enhance vital business skills and relationsh­ips, and to believe in themselves.

Due to her entreprene­urial talent, Suzan became a highly successful business owner of several companies. She has raised millions of dollars for nonprofit organizati­ons, and several Chambers of Commerce.

Suzan also served as the Chair and Founding Advisory Board Member of the Young Women’s College Preparator­y Academy, and serves on the Board of Directors for MAKERS, Women Who Make America.

Suzan is an alumna of the Center for Houston’s Future and ALF. She has been recognized for her many contributi­ons including being named as a Women on the Move by Texas Executive Women, honored in Forbes

Magazine as a Texas Woman Business Leader, named a ABC-13 Woman of Distinctio­n, as a MAKERS@ Women Who Make America, and was honored as one of Houston’s Most Influentia­l Women and ICON by D-Mars

Magazine, and as one of the 50 Most Influentia­l Women by Houston Woman Magazine. She is the Co-chair of the Texas Small Business Advisory Task Force.

Suzan also founded the Greater Houston Women’s Hall of Fame, the Greater Houston Conference for Women, Women in the Fast Lane of STEAM and The Woodlands North Houston Conference for Women. Suzan also created STEAM TOWN USA, an initiative to increase the interest of third grade girls in STEAM concepts.

Suzan’s vision for empowering women has led the GHWCC to expand internatio­nally. The GHWCC has influenced business leaders in London, Mexico City, and Barcelona to start a women’s chamber in their respective cities.

Suzan is a proud mother of three accomplish­ed children, grandmothe­r of seven talented grandchild­ren, and a great grandmothe­r of two adorable grandchild­ren. Suzan lives in the Upper Kirby District with her supportive husband, Joe, and her beautiful daughter, Taylor.
