Springwood­s Village, The Woodlands ink deals at new retail projects

Island Grill,

a local restaurant focused on healthy Mediterran­ean-American fare, has signed on as the first retail tenant in the CityPlace 2 building in Springwood­s Village. The 10story building, at 1701 Lake Plaza Drive, is entirely occupied by American Bureau of Shipping, which has 1,200 employees there. Island Grill will open a 3,584-square-foot restaurant with an outdoor patio in mid-2019. About 21,000 square feet remain available for lease. Eric Lestin of CBRE represente­d Island Grill in the lease. Nick Hernandez and Crystal Allen of Transweste­rn, along with Dennis Tarro of Patrinely Group, represente­d CityPlace, a joint venture of Patrinely Group, USAA Real Estate and CDC Houston. Island Grill has locations in the Tanglewood, Bellaire, Memorial and Rice Village areas.

Moviehouse & Eatery

will make its Houston debut with a 42,370-square-foot theater at Creekside Park Village Center in The Woodlands. The 11-screen theater will anchor Creekside Park West, a new 12-acre retail developmen­t of The Howard Hughes Corp. on Kuykendahl Road, between Creekside Forest Drive and West Harmony Place. Rip Reynolds from The Howard Hughes Corp. represente­d the developer. Chris Reyes from SHOP Cos. represente­d Moviehouse & Eatery. The Austinbase­d chain has five locations in the Austin and Dallas markets.

Camp Bow Wow

has a new location at 7232 Wynnwood Lane in the Timbergrov­e area near the Heights. Franchisee Julia Ambler will operate the newly built 8,600-square-foot pet care facility, which offers overnight lodging and day care, with indoor and outdoor play areas.

Chicken Salad Chick

has entered the Houston market with a location at 21630 Kuykendahl in Spring. The location is operated by franchisee­s Jake Alleman and Cody Gielen of Cojak Enterprise­s. The restaurant, which offers chicken salad in 12 different flavors, has more than 95 locations in 11 states. Locations are planned in Conroe and Houston in 2019.

iShineExpr­ess Car Wash & Detail

has purchased 1.4 acres at The Crossing at Katy Trails, a developmen­t of Rubicon Realty Group at Clay and Peek Roads in Katy. Inna Gallagher of Rubicon Realty represente­d the seller. Clay Roper of Caldwell Cos. represente­d the buyer.

Quick Quack Car Wash

has signed a ground lease for a 0.71acre tract at Rayford Road and Wildrose Drive. Brad Elmore and Austen Baldridge of NewQuest Properties represente­d the landlord, Grand Oaks Partners. Jack Burgher of Streetwise Retail Advisors represente­d the tenant.

Reign Enterprise,

led by developer Sadaf “Tito” Khan, has purchased 1.7 acres on the north side of Will Clayton Parkway just west of Timber Forest Drive in Humble as the site of a 14,350-square-foot, multitenan­t retail center. Adam McAlpine of McAlpine Interests represente­d the buyer. Tom Condon Jr. with Colliers Internatio­nal-The Woodlands represente­d the seller, Patricia Al-Attas Barrett.
