Head­line mis­lead­ing

Re­gard­ing “Trump brings fight to bor­der wall” (Front page, Fri­day): The sub-head­line reads, “Res­i­dents say se­cu­rity not the cri­sis pres­i­dent claims,” which im­plies that all res­i­dents down there be­lieve there’s no cri­sis and there­fore don’t sup­port a wall.

The ar­ti­cle goes on to show that some peo­ple re­ferred to or in­ter­viewed cer­tainly do think there’s enough of a threat or an ac­tual cri­sis for ad­di­tional bar­ri­ers in cer­tain places.

Some of the opin­ion, facts and ob­ser­va­tions in the tail end of the ar­ti­cle di­rectly con­tra­dict the con­clu­sion put forth in the sub-head­line, which is promi­nently placed at the front and cen­ter — and on the front page to boot. Judy L. Walker, Hous­ton
