Rockets (31-22) update: They won the first meeting of the teams this season, 132-112, in Houston. They had a season-high 10 blocked shots in that game … James Harden’s 18 games this season with at least 40 points and five assists are tied for the most in a season in NBA history. He has averaged 40.1 points per game in his past 31 games, the third-longest stretch averaging 40 in NBA history. … Kenneth Faried has scored in double figures in all eight of his games with the Rockets, his longest streak since 201213. He is averaging 16.5 points and 10.1 rebounds … Chris Paul has made 52.5 percent of his shots, averaging 15 points, in his four games since returning from a hamstring injury. … Guard Eric Gordon (right knee soreness) is questionab­le. Center Clint Capela (right thumb injury) is out.

Kings (28-25) update: The Kings have a seven-game home winning streak after Monday’s blowout of the Spurs, moving to ninth in the West, a half-game behind the Clippers. … Buddy Hield’s 45.9 percent 3-point shooting is third in the NBA. … De’Aaron Fox is averaging 17.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.71 steals per game, joining James Harden and Russell Westbrook as the only players averaging at least that much in those categories per game. … Rookie Marvin Bagley III had a career-high 24 points along with 12 rebounds and three blocked shots Monday.
