Rice women win 12th in a row
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Erica Ogwumike had 22 points and 13 rebounds — her 12th double-double of the season —to lead the Rice women to a 68-46 victory over Western Kentucky on Thursday night.
It was the 12th consecutive win for the Conference USA-leading Owls (19-3, 10-0), who tied the school record for most consecutive victories in a season.
Ogwumike, the reigning C-USA player of the week, was joined in double figures by Nicole Iademarco and Sydne Wiggins, each with 12 points. Center Nancy Mulkey came close to a double-double, scoring eight points to go along with 10 rebounds and five blocks.
Whitney Creech led the Hilltoppers (14-10, 8-2) with 12 points.
MISSOURI 70 TEXAS A&M 65
Sophie Cunningham scored six of her 22 points in the final minute of overtime as the Tigers ended the No. 18 Aggies’ sevengame winning streak at College Station.
Cunningham had a steal on the opening possession of overtime and then grabbed an offensive rebound that led to Lauren Aldridge's 3-pointer to give the Tigers a 64-61 lead. Missouri missed its next five shots before Cunningham hit a 15-footer from the right wing with 32 seconds left.
The Aggies (18-5, 7-3 Southeastern Conference) finally got a basket from Ciera Johnson to pull within 66-63 with 17.9 seconds left. Cunningham made two free throws seconds later and, after another A&M basket, she clinched it with two more at 5.4 seconds.
Chennedy Carter had 29 points for A&M (18-5, 7-3).
MIAMI 72, NOTRE DAME 65
Emese Hof and Beatrice Mompremier had doubledoubles for the 25thranked Hurricanes, who upset the No. 4 Irish at Coral Gables, Fla.
Hof had 21 points and 13 rebounds. Mompremier added 18 points and 12 rebounds for her 18th double-double, the most in the ACC.
Notre Dame (21-3, 8-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) was held to a season-low point total and shot 37 percent, also a season low. Miami (20-5, 8-2) won despite shooting just 39 percent, including 3-for-16 from 3-point range.

Nausia Woolfolk had 22 points, including a careerhigh tying five 3-pointers, as the 24th-ranked Seminoles scored 10 consecutive points late in the fourth quarter to knock off the No. 9 Wolfpack at Tallahassee, Fla.
Men CINCINNATI 69 MEMPHIS 64
Jarron Cumberland scored 17 points and keyed a late rally as the No. 25 Bearcats overcame a poor shooting performance to beat the Tigers at Memphis, Tenn.
Cincinnati (20-3, 9-1 American Athletic) won its eighth consecutive game.
