Ionescu, Oregon thump Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. — Sabrina Ionescu had 27 points, nine rebounds and eight assists as thirdranke­d Oregon ran its NCAA-best winning streak to 16 games by running away from No. 11 Stanford 88-48 on Sunday to snap a 29-game losing streak at Maples Pavilion.

Ionescu scored 17 of her points in the first half and made 12 of 20 shots as the Ducks (23-1, 12-0 Pac-12) ended the Cardinal’s 22game home winning streak. The loss was one of the worst in Hall of Fame coach Tara VanDerveer's 33 seasons at Stanford.

DiJonai Carrington led the Cardinal (19-4, 9-3) with 13 points.

LOUISVILLE 72 VIRGINIA TECH 63

Asia Durr scored 34 points as the secondrank­ed Cardinals overcame a near-collapse in a victory over the Hokies at Blacksburg, Va.

Sam Fuehring added 21 points and 13 rebounds for Louisville (23-1, 10-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), which won its ninth in a row. Fuehring made consecutiv­e driving baskets in the final quarter after the Hokies had closed to within 62-56 with under four minutes to play, allowing Louisville to avoid an upset.

NOTRE DAME 97 FLORIDA ST. 70

Arike Ogunbowale scored 27 points and Jessica Shepard added 26 as the No. 4 Irish rolled over the 24th-ranked Seminoles at South Bend, Ind.

Ogunbowale, who had just 13 points on 4-of-15 shooting in Thursday's loss at No. 25 Miami, moved closer to becoming the school's leading scorer. She has 2,301 points. Skylar Diggers-Smith is the all-time leader at 2,357.

MISSISSIPP­I ST. 91 TENNESSEE 63

Teaira McCowan had 24 points and 15 rebounds, and Jordan Danberry added 20 points as the sixthranke­d Bulldogs pulled away late to beat the Lady Vols at Starkville, Miss.

Mississipp­i State (22-1, 10-0 Southeaste­rn Conference) won its fifth game in six tries against Tennessee (15-8, 4-6) after failing to beat the Lady Vols the first 36 times.

MARYLAND 62 RUTGERS 48

Kaila Charles scored 17 points as the No. 10 Terrapins extended their lead in the Big Ten by beating the 20th-ranked Scarlet Knights at Piscataway, N.J.

Maryland (22-2, 11-2 Big Ten) has a 1½-game lead in the conference over Rutgers (17-6, 9-3).

UCLA 100, UTAH 90

Kennedy Burke scored 26 points, and Michaela Onyenwere added 25 points as the Bruins upset the No. 17 Utes at Salt Lake City.
