Killen’s Steakhouse expands to The Woodlands

Killen’s Steakhouse has purchased an 8,500-square-foot restaurant building at 1700 Research Forest Drive in The Woodlands area for a second location. The restaurant, on 2.35 acres, was previously occupied by Bob’s Steak & Chop House. J.J. McDermott and Jon Jamison of NewQuest Properties represente­d the buyer. Mark Raines and Matt Parsons of JLL represente­d the seller, TSS Realty. Awardwinni­ng chef Ronnie Killen launched Killen’s Steakhouse in Pearland in 2006 and has other area restaurant­s specializi­ng in barbecue and burgers. Opening is planned for April.

Dick’s Sporting Goods will open a 45,000-square-foot store in Grand Central Park’s 336 Marketplac­e in Conroe. The store, at the southwest corner of Interstate 45 and South Loop 336, will join anchors Marshalls, Ross, Michaels and HomeGoodsi­n addition to several restaurant­s and specialty stores in late 2019.

Barry’s has leased 6,218 square feet in River Oaks Shopping Center, at West Gray Street at Shepherd Drive, for its first Houston fitness studio. Opening is planned in the spring. Since opening in West Hollywood in 1998, Barry’s has grown to more than 50 locations worldwide. Patrick Manchi with Weingarten Realty represente­d the landlord in-house. Johnathan Hicks with SRS Real Estate Partners represente­d the tenant.

Aldi, a discount grocer with more than 30 stores in the Houston region, plans to open a 18,900-square-foot store in the Tanglewild­e Shopping Center in a former Ace Hardware location, according to the Westchase District. The center at 9525 Westheimer is owned by Brixmor Property Group. Meineke Car Care Center has opened at 16231 Clay Road, Suite 410. Franchisee Al Gomez operates the location.

Bespoke Brows has leased 2,200 square feet at 540 West 19th St. in the Heights. Chris Dray of NewQuest Properties represente­d the landlord, Wind Water Gallery. Laura Diggs of NAI Partners

represente­d the tenant.

Teriyaki Madness has leased 1,405 square feet at 636 Texas 6, Sugar Land. Laura Diggs and Jason Gaines of NAI Partners arranged the lease.

DRNK Coffee + Tea and Qwench Juice Bar have leased 2,000 square feet in Market Square at Eldridge, at Westheimer and Eldridge Parkway, from NewQuest Properties. Josh Friedlande­r of NewQuest Properties represente­d the landlord in-house. Rick Gutierrez and Joaquin Orozco of Retail Solutions represente­d the tenant.

Amazing Lash Studio has leased 1,440 square feet at 3415 Louisiana from Courtland Tower II Ltd. Rachael Keener of NewQuest Properties represente­d the

tenant. Bruce Frankel of Frankel Developmen­t Group represente­d the landlord. Beautiful Bridge Beauty

Supply has leased 1,385 square feet in Westlake Shopping Center, at Fry and Saums roads, Katy, from Rising Sail Westlake. Ryan Kelsall and Ronnie Miranda of NewQuest Properties represente­d the tenant. World Acceptance Corp. ,a small-loan consumer finance and tax business, has leased 1,400 square feet at 10218 Beechnut. Gerald Leveritt and Jason Gibbons of Finial Group represente­d the landlord, Beechnut Shopping Plaza.
