Now that crawfish season is in high gear, boils and crawfish goodies can be found all throughout Houston. Here are a few newcomers to the busy crawfish market:

EggHaus Gourmet: The breakfast spot owned by King’s BierHaus and King’s Biergarten co-founder Philipp Sitter is now offering crawfish croissants through April for $7. The flaky croissants are filled with crawfish étouffée from Houston favorite BB’s Tex-Orleans cafe, which is known for its po’boys, shrimp and grits and seafood boils. EggHaus is at 2042 E. T.C. Jester, 713489-6719; egghaus.com.

La Lucha: Chef Bobby Matos is offering weekend crawfish boils beginning at noon Saturdays and Sundays. A minimum 3-pound order (market price varies) is served with corn, potatoes and sauces for 50 cents each; bibs and table liners will be provided. Matos will serve the crawfish on the patio at the Heights restaurant (available inside, too) through the end of the season. La Lucha is at 1801 N. Shepherd, 713-955-4765; laluchatx.com. B&B Butchers & Restaurant: From 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, the Washington steakhouse will throw a Mardi Gras-themed brunch in the upstairs dining room and on the rooftop patio. On the menu: crawfish étouffée omelet, boudin with poached eggs, duck and andouille gumbo and biscuits and gravy. King Cake from Rao’s Bakery and specialty cocktails by Beam Suntory will be offered. Reservations are required; regular brunch menu also available. B&B Butchers is at 1814 Washington, 713-862-1814; bbbutchers.com.
