Places for pets pop up in The Woodlands, Memorial and Missouri City
The Pet Barber, a Houstonbased company that specializes in pet grooming, has leased 3,233 square feet in Shoppes at Memorial Villages, at 1022 Wirt at Interstate 10. James Namken with Weitzman represented the tenant. John Wise of Weingarten Realty represented the landlord in-house.
Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming, a national pet chain with 110 locations, has opened a 1,731-square-foot store in Creekside Park Village Green, at 26400 Kuykendahl in The Woodlands. The store provides full-service and self-service grooming, pet products such as leashes and collars, pet foods, bones and chews and baked treats. It is the sixth store in the Houston market for franchisee Kelly Ross. Joshua Sebesta with S&P Interests represented the tenant. Rip Reynolds from Howard Hughes Corp. represented the developer in-house.
PetSuites of America has started construction on a 14,000-square-foot pet care facility at 8320 Copper Creek close to Texas 6 in Missouri City near the Sienna Plantation and Riverstone communities. It will have an adjacent 7,000 feet of outdoor yard space and offer pools, play areas for cats, big dog and little dog play yards, day care, boarding, grooming and more. The grand opening is tentatively set for June 29. PetSuites operates 22 locations in 10 states including one in the Cypress-Fairbanks area.
Black Swan Yoga and Earthcraft Juicery have signed up as tenants along with Flying Biscuit café in Drewery Place, a 27-story apartment tower with 13,000 square feet of retail space at 2850 Fannin in Midtown. The building, the first phase of Melbourne-based Caydon’s Laneways development, is expected to open in July.
SynergenX has leased 2,460 square feet in Shops at Cypress Mill, 27002 U.S. 290 in Cypress. Ashley Strickland and Nick Ramsey of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord, CyMill Partners. Maury Bronstein and John Wall of 1912 Ventures represented the tenant.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe has leased 1,400 square feet in the Shops at Spring Town Center, at FM 2920 and Kuykendahl Road in Spring, from NewQuest Properties. Bob Conwell and Andrew Alvis of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord inhouse. Lane Zieben of the Retail Connection represented the tenant.
Smoothie King has leased 1,476 square feet in Brazos Town Center, at U.S. 59 and FM 762 in Rosenberg, from NewQuest Properties. Bob Conwell and Austen Baldridge of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord in-house. Rachael Keener of NewQuest Properties represented the tenant.
Family Cuts has leased 1,350 square feet at 26440 FM 1093 in Richmond. Gerald Leveritt with Finial Group represented the landlord.
StretchLab, a fitness franchise focused on stretching, has opened a location at 6702 Ferris in Bellaire. It will be followed by the opening of Row House ,a national fitness rowing concept, next door in May. StretchLab and Row House of Bellaire are owned and operated by husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Brian and Robyn Goldstein.
Domino’s Pizza has leased 1,788 square feet at 10750 Barker Cypress Road in Cypress. Finial Group represented the landlord in-house.
Taco Cabana has opened a 3,465-square-foot restaurant at 6522 Westheimer. The location was formerly a Pollo Tropical, which is also part of Fiesta Restaurant Group.
The location has a 54-seat dining room, a 24-seat outdoor patio and drive-thru.
