Recovery center opens in Kingwood

-

The Harris County Housing and Community Resource Center has opened a disaster recovery center at the Kingwood United Methodist Church for those who have been affected by floods in early May.

Located on 1799 Woodland Hills Drive in Kingwood in Room K105, the disaster recovery center will be available Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until May 31.

The center will be closed on May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.

Linda Hudson, Harris County’s deputy assistant director for the housing and community resource center, said there have been six confirmed homes in unincorporated Harris County that sustained damage from the recent floods.

Hudson said Harris County is not now expecting any state or federal funding, according to Hudson.

Those who are not able to go to the disaster recovery center can call 832-927-4955.
