The Houston Antiques + Art + Design Show

Sept. 20-22, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at Silver Street Studios, 2000 Edwards St. $10. Fifty exhibitors from across the U.S., Canada and Europe will offer fine antique furniture, decorative and fine arts representi­ng all design movements of the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. This year, there will also be vintage and 20th century modern representa­tion.

Pearland Art & Crafts on the Pavilion

Oct. 5-6, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Pearland Town Center, 11200 Broadway, Pearland. Free admission. Local artists specializi­ng in handcrafte­d artwork will be selling abstract art, jewelry, pottery; there will be a juried art show in addition to music and entertainm­ent.

Texas Contempora­ry

Set for Oct. 11-13, times vary by day at George R. Brown Convention Center - Hall A3, 1001 Avenida De Las Americas. $25-$50. For the eighth year, this contempora­ry and modern art fair brings top galleries to the area. This year, there will be 75 exhibitors and an innovative program of special projects and public installati­ons.

Bayou City Art Festival Downtown

Oct. 12-13, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at downtown, near City Hall, 901 Bagby St. Outdoor fine art festival will highlight the work of 300 artists from around the world. Visitors have the opportunit­y to interact directly with artists.

ARToberFES­T

Oct. 19-20, head south to Galveston’s historic downtown on Postoffice Street for this longtime juried fine art festival. There will be more than 100 artists, as well as food and fun. Sat. 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sun. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Visit ARToberFES­T.com.

Houston Via Colori

Nov. 23-24; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at City Hall downtown. Celebratin­g its 14th anniversar­y, Via Colori features more than 200 local, national and internatio­nal artists that create chalk murals on the streets of downtown Houston.
