Montgomery hosts Wine & Music Fest

-

The historic town of Montgomery is an ideal backdrop for the Wine & Music Fest on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Festival goers arrive from across the region to sample some of the state’s finest wines while taking in some authentic Texas music.

All set in the historic downtown streets, with three stages of music, plenty of food and lots of vendors, this an event worth experiencing.

“We are very selective about the wineries that we allow to participate. We choose 16 quality wineries and they are careful to select a good variety of wines for tasting and purchase,” said Karla Nash, former winery owner and volunteer with the event.

Thousands of guests

The Montgomery Area Chamber hosts this truly Texas wine-filled day by recruiting hundreds of volunteers to welcome the city’s 8,000-plus guests, putting the Wine & Music Fest at the “top of the charts” in hospitality.

This year’s Main Stage headliner features Montgomery County’s own Sundance Head, who made headlines winning The Voice in 2016. Joining him on the main stage are Texas artists Kody West, and Sarah Grace and the Soul (also featured on The Voice.)

The Chamber will make sure your experience is hassle-free when you park and ride one of the shuttles to and from the downtown area, and Montgomery is always family and leashed-dog friendly.

Festival goers are encouraged to visit the local merchants, who remain open during the event hours to welcome customers.
