Skeeters eye 3rd Atlantic crown

The Sugar Land Skeeters will be looking to win their second consecutive Atlantic League title and third in four years when they open the best-of-five championship series against the Long Island Ducks at Central Islip, N.Y., on Tuesday night. First pitch is 5:35 p.m.

Sugar Land, which clinched a playoff berth by winning the Freedom Division first-half title, advanced to the league championship series after defeating York in four games in the division playoff.

Game 2 of the final series will be at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday. The series returns to Constellation Field for Game 3 at 6:35 p.m. Friday. Games 4 and 5, if necessary, will be at 6:35 p.m. Saturday and 6:35 p.m. Sunday.
