Store worker held at gunpoint; no injuries
A robber held an employee at a Woodlands-area Walmart at gunpoint early Wednesday, then fired his weapon into the air as he left the store, authorities said.
No injuries were reported in the shooting, reported about 2:41 a.m. at the store in the 3000 block of College Park Drive. The gunman was still at large later Wednesday.
A man wearing a dark-colored green hoodie and green shorts approached an employee, pointed a gun at her and then forced her into an area of the store with a safe, investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.
The man demanded money from the employee, and as she handed it to him, she “activated her two-way radio alerting other employees.”
The gunman left her and then fired a single shot into the ceiling, investigators said. He left the store with no money, investigators said.
