The Buckingham features personalized touch to health services

-

Raechel Robinson is very familiar with Houston-area hospitals.

As The Buckingham’s specialized hospital liaison, she meets with patients and their families, day or night, to discuss their rehabilitation, skilled nursing or postsurgery needs.

“I am the welcoming committee, the first face they see from The Buckingham,” said Robinson.

Part manager, part counselor, Robinson visits with patients, spouses and loved ones to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to The Buckingham’s health center.

Through a wide referral network of physicians and case managers, she works with each individual to complete clinical evaluations, answer questions, and help ease any anxiety or confusion.

“I treat patients and family members like my own loved ones,” said Robinson, adding her services also extend to current residents at The Buckingham who need to transition back to their independent living apartment. “I want them to have one less thing to worry about.”

Robinson likens herself to a personal assistant — available 24/7 for any need or question that may arise. Whether it’s arranging transportation, gathering medical records, or providing a comprehensive review of The Buckingham’s services and amenities, she’s available every step of the treatment journey.
