Teen in custody after sister hurt, man killed

A 14-year-old is in custody after allegedly killing his sister’s boyfriend with a shotgun at a house party in Katy.

Authorities say that the 20year-old boyfriend died at the scene, and the suspect’s 18-yearold sister was hospitalized after being shot in the upper torso or neck just before midnight at a party at the 24000 block of Pepperell Place.

Authorities detained the juvenile for questioning. About 10 to 12 people were inside the house when the violence erupted, according to Harris County Sheriff ’s Office Sergeant Eric Clegg. The motive is unclear.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on Twitter described it as “a house party gone bad.”
