All Nippon Airways offers new Houston service

All Nippon Airways will soon connect Houston to Tokyo’s more centrally located Haneda Airport.

Starting in summer 2020, the flight will replace ANA’s current daily flight between Bush Intercontinental Airport and the farther flung Narita International Airport.

The new Houston service is part of a bigger push by ANA to offer more service from Haneda Airport.

United Airlines previously attempted to move its Houston-Narita flight to Haneda, but it did not receive government approval. The U.S. Department of Transportation instead granted tentative approval to fly from four other United hubs: Newark Liberty International Airport, Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.
