Linda Padon is General Manager of Corporate Affairs for Chevron North America Exploratio­n and Production Company, working to ensure Chevron continues to be a valued and trusted member of the communitie­s in which it operates.

Access to energy improves lives and enables human progress. After almost 40 years in the energy industry, Linda has seen firsthand the economic and societal contributi­ons that her company has made on multiple continents.

She has been actively involved in health, economic developmen­t, environmen­tal and education initiative­s globally, including in Angola, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Thailand, Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom and the United States. Many of these programs are aimed at assisting women in developing businesses or livelihood skills, as well as protecting their health and the health of their children. Other programs are encouragin­g youth, particular­ly young women, to choose the path of a career in Science, Technology, Engineerin­g and Math (STEM).

After graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in Government, Linda began her career in Houston with Texaco. She lived in Denver for a decade, where she was Texaco’s regional lobbyist, media and community relations manager. Linda then moved to California for almost 15 years, leading the Policy, Government and Public Affairs teams for Chevron’s Global Gas, Corporate Business Developmen­t and Global Upstream organizati­ons. She then was the General Manager of Public Policy and Corporate Responsibi­lity.

Linda has served on local, national and global boards, including the Niger Delta Partnershi­p Initiative and the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition.

After spending almost 25 years trying to return to Houston, Linda began her current role in 2016.

She is serving as a leader advisor to Chevron’s Houston Women’s Employee Network, is active in Chevron’s Executive Women’s Group, sponsors the Chevron Advocacy Network and serves on the board of Chevron’s political action committee.

While she was born in New York, Houston is home for Linda and she is delighted to once again be part of this vibrant and diverse city.
