Aztec Events renews large lease; sister company relocates to Houston
Aztec Events & Tents has renewed its 125,697-square-foot lease at 601 West 6th St. in Houston. The landlord was represented by The Deal Co. In addition, Shaffer Sports & Events has relocated to Houston into a renovated multitenant 125,000-square-foot location at 10901 Tanner Road. Shaffer signed a long-term lease with Exeter 10901 Tanner LP, which was represented by David Boyd, Greg Barra and Wes Williams of Boyd Commercial. John S. Parsley, Gary Mabray and Judd Harrison of Colliers International represented Aztec/Shaffer LLC in both lease transactions. Kiewit Engineering Group Inc. has leased 171,266 square feet at Energy Center I, a 334,367square-foot, 13-story building at 585 N. Dairy Ashford the Energy Corridor. Louie Crapitto of JLL and David Kimball of Savills provided tenant representation services. Eric Anderson, Tyler Garrett and Katy Gragg of Transwestern Commercial Services represented the landlord, Spear Street Capital.
Avram Blair & Associates ,a law firm dedicated to defective products and serious personal injury litigation for clients across the U.S., leased 3,832 at 4800 Fournace Place in Bellaire. John Zivley of NAI Partners represented the tenant. The building is owned by SLS Properties.
Servomex Co. renewed its lease of 24,661 square feet at Sugar Land Southwest Business Center, 12300 Dairy Ashford. Rob Johnson with Colliers International represented the tenant. Jeremy Lumbreras and Jeff Pate with Stream Realty Partners represented the landlord, DRA Advisors.
Edward J. Kroger renewed a lease for 6,825 square feet at 3100 Weslayan for three years. Richard Maloof of Hartman Income REIT represented the landlord inhouse.
Los Angeles-based Gemini Rosemont Commercial Real Estate is rebranding two office buildings on Houston’s west side. Kirkwood Atrium II, at 11767 Katy Freeway, will now be known as Memorial Pointe, and Dairy Ashford East will now be 1160 Dairy Ashford. Memorial Pointe has undergone major lobby renovations and common area upgrades. Both buildings have move-in ready spec suites ranging from about 1,400 to 4,100 square feet. Stream Realty Partners handles leasing. Medical Transportation Management renewed a lease for 16,600 square feet at 5400-5401 Mitchelldale St. Justin Harrity represented the landlord, Hartman Income REIT, in-house. Ed Frantz with CBRE represented the tenant.
