Lately: The Rockets had won four of five games before losing to the Pelicans on Sunday with three starters out. The Nuggets had a seven-game winning streak snapped by the Pelicans in Denver but have won their two games since.

Scouting the Rockets: They have not lost consecutive games in the 16 games since their three-game losing streak. They are 7-2 at home against Western Conference teams. … The Rockets have won six consecutive games against the Nuggets in Houston but lost the one meeting this season 105-95 in Denver, scoring their fewest points in a game this season. … James Harden, who had 27 points against the Nuggets in the first meeting, has averaged 29.8 points on 44.1 percent 3-point shooting and 9.4 assists in his past five games against Denver. … Guard Russell Westbrook, who sat out Sunday’s game in the second half of a back-to-back, has scored at least 20 points in 11 consecutive games, the longest streak for a Rockets player other than Harden since Tracy McGrady in 2006-07 … Danuel House Jr.’s 22 points on Sunday were a season high. They allow the fewest points per game off turnovers and the fourth-fewest second-chance points. … Center Nikola Jokic had a season-high 31 points with 10 rebounds and 10 assists on Saturday. Jokic’s 6.8 assists per game lead all NBA centers by more than two assists per game. He is 15th in the league in assists per game overall. His seven triple-doubles are one shy of Luka Doncic for the league lead. … Forward Michael Porter Jr. had 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting in his first career start on Sunday. … Guard Jamal Murray has scored at least 28 points three times in the past seven games.
