Lately: The Rockets’ have won five of their past seven games and their past three home games. The 76ers lost the first three games of their four-game road trip before they were blown out in Indianapol­is on New Year’s Eve.

Scouting the Rockets: With their 130 points against the Nuggets on Wednesday, the Rockets moved up to be the top-scoring team in the NBA, averaging 119.4 points per game, and to second in offensive ranking, nine-tenths of a point per 100 possession­s behind the Mavericks. They lead the NBA in field goals, free throws and 3-pointers attempted per game … Guard James Harden has averaged 6.4 3-pointers in his past 10 games, making 49.6 percent.

Scouting the 76ers: The 76ers are eighth in defensive rating, but rank 17th in their past five games, 19th in their past 10 games … The Sixers are 26th in 3-pointers per game, ranking sixth in the percentage of points scored on two-pointers … With Joel Embiid out against the Pacers on Wednesday, Kyle O’Quinn started in the Sixers’ 12th starting lineup of the season.

Injury report: Rockets, Guard Gerald Green (left foot surgery) and center Nene (strained adductor) are out. 76ers, Forward James Ennis III (stomach illness) is doubtful. Guard/forward Matisse Thybulle (sprained, bruised right knee) is out. By the numbers: 15 – Rockets wins in 17 games Russell Westbrook has made 43 percent or more of his shots.
