The Toasted Yolk on roll to expand
The Toasted Yolk, a fullservice breakfast and lunch chain founded by Chris Milton and Mathew DeMott in 2010, plans to expand to new markets throughout Texas and into the southeast United States. Three new Houston locations are set to open in early 2020 and 17 additional units are in development phases. The restaurants are planned for 6727 FM 1463 near Cross Creek Ranch in Fulshear, 27008 U.S. 290 in Cypress and 6455 Phelan Blvd. in Beaumont. The Toasted Yolk, which began franchising locations in 2017, has 11 locations across the Greater Houston area.
Gloria’s Latin Cuisine ,a Dallas-based restaurant and live music venue with area locations in Midtown and Baybrook Mall, leased 5,500 square feet in Katy Grand, near Interstate 10 and the Grand Parkway in Katy. Rebecca Le and Heather Nguyen of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord, A-S 98 NEC Grand Parkway-IH 10W LP. Rene Rodriguez III of Nan & Co. Properties represented the tenant. Gloria’s will occupy a portion of an 11,800-square-foot building at Mercantile Parkway and Grand Circle Boulevard. Opening is targeted for September. Sun Builders of Houston is the general contractor on the building, which will deliver in May. Gloria’s Latin Cuisine has 20 locations in Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Houston.
Eggcellence Cafe has opened in the Carillon Shopping Center, 10001 Westheimer, in Westchase District. The restaurant serves breakfast items such as eggs, biscuits and gravy, Creole shrimp and grits, pancakes, waffles, French toast and crepes. The lunch menu includes sandwiches, salads, chicken or lamb kabobs, fettucini alfredo and grilled white fish.
The Republic Grille broke ground on a 6,000-square-foot free-standing restaurant at 3486 Discovery Creek Blvd. in Spring near the Harmony Commons development. Opening is planned by mid-2020. Terry McBurney is founder and managing partner of the restaurant, which has other locations at The Woodlands Panther Creek Shopping Center and West Woodlands Terramont Shopping Center.
Nays Donuts & Kolache Shop leased 1,050 square feet at Plazas at Grand Parkway, 1575 South Grand Parkway, Katy. Amandeep Singh of Resolut RE (formerly Retail Solutions) represented the tenant. Courtney Lavender of Vista Management Co. represented the landlord.
SOS Reliable Tax Services leased 1,156 square feet at 18174 River Sage Drive. Amandeep Singh of Resolut RE represented the tenant. Will Warden of Greenberg & Co. represented the landlord.
Spec’s Wine, Spirits & Finer Foods leased 8,000 square feet at 10405 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte. Taki Dallis of Resolut RE represented the landlord.
California Kitchen leased 2,464 square feet at Baytown Commons at 5010 Garth Road, Baytown. Conrad Chambers of Resolut RE represented the tenant. Matt Van Slyke of Sylvestri Investments represented the landlord.
