Eagle’s Trace Realty & Moving Services helps with new moves

-

The Erickson Living Realty and Moving Services (ERMS) program has helped thousands of residents make seamless transitions to its senior living communities.

One of the national leaders in developing and managing continuing care retirement communities, Erickson Living created a network of resources to help future residents simplify their moves, including everything from selecting a local Realtor to partnering with a trusted senior move manager.

Eagle’s Trace in west Houston is helping customers with downsizing, staging and moving — safely. Haven Benoit, personal moving consultant, and a team of preferred local vendors understand that individual services are needed more than ever, and they are ready to help.

Sharon Baksa, ERMS national program manager, discussed how the program is adapting to the pandemic and detailed the current real estate market.

Q: How are personal moving consultants assisting reservists and priority list members?

A: By staying socially connected as people practice physical distancing. For example, Haven at Eagle’s Trace follows all proper safety protocol when going on home visits. During the previous stay-at-home guidelines, our personal moving consultants hosted video meetings for planning discussions or just friendly chats over coffee.

Q: How has technology complemented home visits?

A: Personal moving consultants like Haven are conducting complimentary home visits to get to know future residents and learn their preferences. Our sales team professionals can also host virtual tours of available apartment homes when needed. In turn, some reservists have used their digital devices to show us through their house so we can see the furniture they would like to bring to Eagle’s Trace. In person or partnering remotely, we measure room sizes, “space plan” and send a completed floor plan.

Q: Can you provide a few examples of how preferred vendors interact with customers?

A: Our preferred Realtors are sharing listings on their websites and social media to attract offers, hosting Zoom virtual house parties and even using drones to show property views. We’ve seen that buyers and sellers need not leave their kitchen tables for a sale to occur. Transactions can be accomplished via electronic signatures. Senior move managers are also partnering with customers to stay on track for scheduled moves.

Q: How would you describe the current housing market?

A: We’re learning that projections for local real estate sales in 2020 are positive despite national economic challenges. With a shortage of listing inventory, low interest rates and an explosion of online real estate searches, there could not be a better opportunity to sell your house. The industry expects this to be a seller’s market as streamlined processes benefit all parties involved.

Q: Why is now a good time to move to Eagle’s Trace?

A: Many older adults realize the value of having great neighbors and vital services at their fingertips. Fortunately, Eagle’s Trace offers both. People are moving into our community and enjoying creative social interaction, bountiful meals and health care that’s on campus in a safe environment. I think that’s why so many people are inquiring about Eagle’s Trace: for the tangible convenience of quality amenities and services and the intangible benefits of friendship and peace of mind.
