A’s capitalize on poor Ohtani start
OAKLAND, Calif. — Shohei Ohtani failed to record an out in the two-way star’s return to the mound, allowing the first six batters to reach base as the Oakland Athletics beat the Los Angeles Angels 6-4 on Sunday night.
The Angels wasted a big day by Mike Trout, who hit a three-run homer in the third and a sacrifice fly in the fifth. David Fletcher wound up with four hits.

Corey Kluber left his Texas debut with shoulder tightness. Kluber was examined by a team doctor and will be further evaluated Monday.
