In-person classes will be in phases
Concern about the coronavirus pandemic has led Pearland ISD to opt for a phased approach to on-campus instruction this fall.
When school starts Aug. 31, on-campus learners will attend in-person classes once a week for the first two weeks, then attend in-person classes twice a week for the third and fourth weeks.
When those students aren’t on campus for that four-week period, they’ll study remotely. No students will be in schools on Fridays when facilities will be deep-cleaned. However, beginning Sept. 28, all students opting for in-person instruction will be on campus full time.
The district also provides an option for students to receive instruction via an online format for the 2020-21 school year.
