Star Cinema Grill debuts drive-in theater
Star Cinema Grill has added a drive-in theater at its location at 8920 Fry Road in Cypress.
Movies, including classics and first-run titles, will be shown Thursday through Sunday at 8:15 p.m., with an additional show at 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Tickets can be purchased through company’s mobile app for $18 per vehicle.
Star Cinema will offer its most popular menu items, concessions and a full liquor, beer and wine selection. It has teamed with Karbach Brewing and Silver Eagle Distributors on drink specials.
“People are looking for a sense of normalcy. Star Cinema Grill’s drive-in movie setup allows the community a chance to relax and take in a film, while doing so from the comfort and safety of their own car,” Karbach Marketing Manager David Graham said in an announcement.
Laura Rathe Fine Art will open in River Oaks District, 4444 Westheimer, on Oct. 10. Local art gallery owner and art dealer Laura Rathe, who has other locations in Houston and Dallas, will showcase a collection of large format art, contemporary sculpture and exhibitions, beginning with Dreamers. The gallery will be in the central courtyard, across from Toulouse and Dior.
Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café will open a location in Sugar Land Town Square this fall. The 2,257square-foot café at 15911 City Walk will have 74 seats inside and 42 on the patio. Brian Ashby and Sydney Dixon of CBRE represented the tenant. It will be the 11th location for the Houston-based chain, founded by husband and wife Allison and Ivan Chavez in 2012.
RockBox Fitness, a Charlottebased franchise that combines boxing, kickboxing and functional training into high-energy group workouts, will enter the Houston market with a location at 8196 Barker Cypress Road. It will be the first of up to five gyms, which average about 3,000 square feet each and employ six to 10 people. RockBox has grown to 18 studios in eight states since 2017. Another 40 locations are in various states of development.
Home Dental leased 3,375 square feet at the Highland Knolls Shopping Center, 21040 Highland Knolls, Katy. Kristen Barker of Wulfe & Co. represented the landlord.
Jus’ Mac leased 1,100 square feet at the Market at Harper’s Preserve in Conroe. Travis Waltmon of Edge Realty Partners represented the tenant. Jeanie Gibbs, Matt McKinnerney and Lane Pleason represented the landlord, Read King Commercial Real Estate.
Apex Urgent Care renewed a 3,750-square-foot retail lease at 6133 Fry Road, Katy. Laura Diggs of NAI Partners represented the landlord.
Panamericana Family Clinic renewed at Westwood Village Shopping Center, 9615 Southwest Freeway. Eric Broussard and Benny Nguyen of Resolut RE represented the landlord.
