It’s a hot girl 2020. Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion has been named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world. And she’s on the cover.

The issue has eight worldwide covers, also featuring immunologist Dr. Anthony Fauci, performer The Weeknd, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, COVID-19 front-line nurse Amy O’Sullivan, actress Gabrielle Union and athlete Dwyane Wade, president of Taiwan Tsai Ing-wen, and Black Lives Matter founders Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi.

The Time 100 issues are on sale now.

Actress Taraji P. Henson contributes a blurb about Megan Thee Stallion, calling her, “the epitome of tenacity, of pulling herself up by her bootstraps.”

“She rode the beat like I’d never heard anybody ride the beat in a long time — and I’m a hip-hop head. There was something about this woman. Once you discover her, you become a fan,” Henson writes. “I don’t like to put the stigma of the word strong on Black women because I think it dehumanizes us, but she has strength — strength through vulnerability.

“She was shot this summer, and still people tried to tear her down. But she’s out here still loving and being sweet.”

Megan Thee Stallion started the year with the single “Diamonds” alongside Normani from the “Birds of Prey” soundtrack. She followed it with her album “Suga” and the viral hit “Savage.” Fellow H-town icon Beyoncé jumped on the remix and helped send the song to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Megan also teamed up with Cardi B for the sexually charged “WAP,” a second No. 1. single. She became a global brand ambassador for Revlon and is nominated for top rap female artist at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards.

She celebrated the Time100 honor on Instagram, writing, “Still I rise. Young Black woman from Houston, Texas on the cover of Time magazine as one of the most influential people in the world.”

Megan will also be themusical guest for the Oct. 3 “Saturday Night Live” premiere hosted by Chris Rock.
