Tech’s Carter coming to UH

Wide receiver KeSean Carter announced Sunday he will transfer to the University of Houston.

Carter spent the past three easons at Texas Tech, where he was the Red Raiders’ second-leading receiver with 30 catches for 290 yards and four touchdowns this season.

He will be eligible to play next season and will have two years eligibilit­y remaining.

In three seasons at Tech, Carter had 83 catches for 831 yards and seven touchdowns. The 5-11, 190-pound Carter has been used as outside receiver and in the slot.

A two-time Class 6A champion in the 100 meters, Carter was a multisport star at The Woodlands High School. He signed with Texas Tech over offers from Houston, Arizona, West Virginia, Utah, Memphis, Kansas and UConn.
