After her retirement, she moved to Brenham and stayed busy with her adventurous trips to Walmart, annual family or friend trips to Galveston, and spending time with her Granny Girls. In her pastime, she volunteered at Brenham Elementary School where her Brenham Granny Girls attended. She loved everything in bright beautiful colors especially at Christmas time. And she always enjoyed finding the next addition to her elaborate snowman collection. Her greatest joy in life were her Granny Girls. She loved them more than life itself.
