Man, 22, found shot to death outside store

A 22-year-old man was fatally shot late Monday outside a convenience store in Stafford, officials said.

Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies responded around 11 p.m. to 812 Murphy Road where they found a man shot on the side of the road, the agency said.

The victim, identified as Camerron Long of Stafford, was taken to a Sugar Land hospital where he died.

Detectives believe two parties met outside the On The Go convenience store and gunfire was exchanged, according to the sheriff's office. Long was shot several times.

The investigation is ongoing.
